Nautica Malibu Triathlon Presented By Equinox Returns To Zuma Beach For 27th Annual Race
More Than 5,500 Participants Compete To Benefit Children's Hospital Los Angeles' Pediatric Cancer Research Program
MALIBU, Calif., Sept. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Athletes, celebrities and philanthropists will gather on September 8, 2013 for the 27th annual Nautica Malibu Triathlon presented by Equinox. Taking place at Zuma Beach and beginning at 7:00a.m., participants will swim, bike and run to raise funds for Children's Hospital Los Angeles' Pediatric Cancer Research Program.
Proceeds from the Nautica Malibu Triathlon presented by Equinox will benefit The Basic and Translational Cancer Research Program of the Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. Last year, the event raised more than $1.17 million with the help of celebrity participants including Alison Sweeney, James Marsden and Rainn Wilson.

The Nautica Malibu Triathlon presented by Equinox is comprised of two races including the Herbalife International Distance Race on Saturday, September 7th, where participants race through a 1.5K swim, 40K bike and 10K run along the sands of Zuma Beach and the Classic Distance Race on Sunday, September 8th, which involves a half-mile ocean swim, 18 mile bike course and 4 mile run. Event-goers can also participate in the Nautica Kids Run, Tot Trot, and enjoy games at the Fun Zone.
