HOUSTON, Sept. 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Kelli Nations, MHA, BSN, RN, NE-BC, has been named HCA Gulf Coast Division's first chief nurse executive, effective September 30, 2016. Nations is responsible for nurse and physician collaboration and service initiatives including patient experience, nursing recruitment and retention, and nursing management development.
"Kelli has had extensive CNO experience and an established track record of leading and positively impacting organizations in employee, physician, and patient engagement, quality, service-line development and culture," said Troy Villarreal, HCA Gulf Coast division president. Nations has served as a nursing leader with HCA Gulf Coast Division for 12 years, the first six in various prominent roles at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center. She has also served as chief nursing officer at large hospital organizations including Conroe Regional Medical Center, Bayshore Medical Center, and Mainland Medical Center.
Nations holds both a bachelor's of science degree in nursing and a master's degree in healthcare administration from Texas Woman's University in Houston, Texas. She is certified through American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Certified Nursing Executive, Advanced. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in business administration with leadership development from Northcentral University.
