National Association Of Professional Child Photographers Unveils 2012 Photographer Of The Year & Fifth Annual Image Competition Winners
Winners Illustrate Best of Best in Child Photography
ATLANTA, May 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The National Association of Professional Child Photographers (NAPCP) is thrilled to reveal its 2012 Child Photographer of the Year and announce the winners of its fifth annual NAPCP Image Competition. As a strong ambassador for NAPCP, both in the online community and in the photography industry, Sandy Summers Russell of Summerland Photography has been named as the 2012 Photographer of the Year. Russell's professional integrity, paired with her ability to consistently produce technically strong, breathtaking work that inspires other NAPCP members, allowed her to secure the coveted title. Russell's winning image, "Daddy's Girl," will be highlighted on an electronic billboard in New York City's Times Square.

The winners of the NAPCP Image Competition illustrate the creative and technical excellence of child photographers around the world, in a number of categories.

This latest NAPCP competition reflects the growing interest and participation of photographers across a range of category subjects, including maternity, newborn, baby, child, sibling, tween, seniors and family. Applicants were critiqued by a panel of esteemed photography experts and luminaries based on impact, technical merit, composition and creativity. The overall NAPCP Child Photographer of the Year was determined by total number of points scored from the 2012 and January 2013 NAPCP Image Competitions.
