HOUSTON, March 26, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- NASA astronaut and retired U.S. Navy Capt. Mike Foreman, a veteran of two spaceflights, will spend his day with students at Hilton Head Preparatory School in Hilton Head Island, S.C., Friday, March 30.

Foreman will show several presentations throughout the day from 8:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. EDT and participate in question and answer sessions with high school students during their science classes.
Media are welcome to attend all presentations and classroom visits. At 3 p.m., Foreman will be available for a brief media interview opportunity. The school is at 8 Fox Grape Road.
Foreman was selected as an astronaut by NASA in June 1998. He flew on STS-123 in March 2008 and STS-129 in November 2009. He has logged more than 637 hours in space, including 32 hours and 19 minutes during five spacewalks. Currently, Foreman is assigned to the Exploration Branch of the Astronaut Office, working on the Commercial Crew Program.
The Ohio native received a Bachelor of Science in aerospace engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1979 and a Master of Science in aeronautical engineering from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School in 1986.
