MONROVIA, Calif., Oct. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Naked® Juice, the super-premium juice maker known for using only the best bare-naked fruits and vegetables, is on a mission to find "The Naked Truth." Led by a new national advertising campaign that highlights the brand's own Naked Truth, fans are encouraged to submit their personal truths—whether it be a rule to live by or a crazy confession—at Facebook.com/nakedjuice. Simultaneously, those truths will be streamed live into headlines as part of the digital campaign appearing on sites such as care2.com, Glam.com and uncrate.com.

"Truth is, at Naked Juice, we use only 100-percent fruit and vegetable juice to make our juices and juice smoothies. We never add sugar or water—we keep it honest and real," said Brad Armistead, Director of Marketing, Naked Juice. "Because our fans are at the heart of everything we do, it was only natural to bring them into our campaign by inviting them to share their own Naked Truths."
From Facebook to (Rain) Forest
Naked Juice's Facebook page will serve as the hub of the engagement effort. There, fans can submit their Naked Truth, share with friends, vote for their favorite and enter to win* an eco-adventure trip for four to the rainforest in Costa Rica—home to many delicious fruits that are sustainably harvested and make their way into Naked Juice. The trip will be hosted in partnership with Rainforest Alliance, an international nonprofit organization working to ensure sustainable livelihoods for people while protecting wildlife and the environment.
Naked Juice started working with Rainforest Alliance in 2009 to procure its bananas, which are used in over 80 percent of Naked Juice products. The partnership is part of an ongoing commitment by Naked Juice toward sustainability initiatives that will decrease the company's impact on the environment. Reducing the carbon footprint is at the core of the brand's innovation platform from production to product development. Additional efforts include a new, state-of-the-art production facility that has been awarded Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification and the transition to 100-percent post-consumer recycled material for its packaging. Called the reNEWabottle®, this new packaging will be on store shelves by Earth Day 2011 for all 10-oz., 15.2-oz. and 64-oz. Naked Juice products. In 2009, Naked Juice unveiled the reNEWabottle for its 32-oz. bottles—the first nationally distributed beverage to do so.
The Naked Truth advertising campaign—the brand's first national effort—features vibrant photography and engaging headlines that capture product truths, such as "Tastes like a guilty pleasure without the guilt" and "This is fruit's higher purpose." The campaign will appear this fall in Fitness, Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, Men's Health, Shape, Outside, Whole Living and National Geographic Traveler, as well as various online outlets. Additionally, Naked Juice brand ambassadors will be traveling to more than 200 college campuses nationwide to spread the word and encourage students to submit their Naked Truth.
