DETROIT, Nov. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Organizers of the North American International Auto Show today added to the growing excitement surrounding the upcoming show by announcing that singer, songwriter Sheryl Crow will perform at the black tie Charity Preview gala, Jan. 17, at Cobo Center, in Detroit.

"Her performance will crown what is already one of Detroit's most spectacular evenings, and the largest single night fundraiser for children's charities in North America."
Nine-time Grammy award-winner, Sheryl Crow, is one of the top selling female artists of all time topping 50 million records worldwide. Her current single "Calling Me When I'm Lonely" is off her critically acclaimed new album, Feels Like Home which she co-produced with Justin Niebank. Since the release of her seven-times Platinum, GRAMMY award-winning debut Tuesday Night Music Club, Sheryl Crow has performed duets with musical luminaries such as Sting and Mick Jagger, released eight studio albums (each charting Top 10, four of them platinum-plus), and has had a combined 40 Top 10s on the Billboard Hot 100, Adult Top 40, Adult Contemporary, Mainstream Top 40, Triple A (with the most No.1 singles among women).
The special performance will take place in the new Cobo Atrium from 9-10:15 pm, said Shuman.

Charity Preview will be held from 6-9 pm. Tickets are $350 each and available now at charitypreview.com. Admittance to the Sheryl Crow performance will be permitted with the purchase of a Charity Preview ticket.
Since 1976, the Charity Preview has raised more than $91 million for Southeastern Michigan children's charities — more than $47 million of which was raised in the last 10 years alone.
