EHE International Donates Display Window to the Lung Cancer Research Foundation to Help Raise Awareness of the Number One Cancer Killer
NEW YORK, Nov. 1, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Throughout the month of November, Lung Cancer Awareness Month, visitors to Rockefeller Center in the heart of midtown Manhattan will be educated on the number 1 cancer killer of Americans, more than colon, breast and prostate combined.

Thanks to the generosity of EHE International, the Lung Cancer Research Foundation (LCRF), will have a 115-square foot exhibit window containing important information about lung cancer and will be on view at 10 Rockefeller Plaza from November 1, 2013 until December 3, 2013.
The window display includes information about the disease, the innovative research being conducted, and startling statistics – including the fact that lung cancer is responsible for 1/3 of all cancer deaths in the US. The display urges anyone who wants to help support national research studies and activities focused on developing advances for better treatment, screening, and prevention of all cancers of the lung to visit the LCRF's web site at www.lungfund.org.
"EHE International is delighted to donate the window space at Rockefeller Center to help educate people about the deadliest cancer in America during Lung Cancer Awareness Month," says Deborah McKeever, President of EHE International. "We are very grateful to EHE for the opportunity to educate the public this devastating disease," says Sandra Vassos, Executive Director of the Lung Cancer Research Foundation. "Lung cancer research has been chronically underfunded compared to other cancers and the LCRF has been working to change this. This window display will give us the opportunity to deliver our message of hope through research," said Vassos.
Since 2007, LCRF has funded 90 grants—totaling over $4.8 million—for critical lung cancer research in leading medical institutions in the United States and Canada. Because of LCRF's support, our grantees have received over $7 million in follow-on funding from the National Cancer Institute (NCI).
