MobileIron Wins 2014 Telecom Council SPIFFY Award
Enterprise mobility company takes home Prodigy Award for most notable exit
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Oct. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Telecom Council recognized MobileIron (NASDAQ: MOBL) with the Prodigy Award for the Most Successful Service Provider Forum Alumni. More than 60 carrier members voted on nearly 200 young companies and determined that MobileIron achieved the most notable growth, market success or exit.
President of Telecom Council, Liz Kerton said proudly of MobileIron's recognition, "2014 brought an incredible crop of communications startups. We were thrilled to see MobileIron's initial public offering and are pleased to introduce their technology to potential network partners. We look forward to watching MobileIron's market success in 2015 and beyond."
Members of the Service Provider Forum reviewed nearly 200 young companies at Telecom Council meetings throughout 2014. Competition for these awards is stiff because all startups are screened by Telecom Council Steering Committees before they are selected to present to the SPIF or other Telecom Council meetings. Startups who present have been identified as having ideas, relevance, and traction that most appeal to our carriers from around the globe.
"As a partner to some of world's largest carriers, we understand the scalability, performance and infrastructure demands of the telecom industry and we are delighted to be recognized by the Telecom Council," said Ojas Rege, Vice President of Strategy, MobileIron. "We are honored to support carriers as they look to help customers secure and manage mobile apps, content and devices."
