Minyanville Media Names Mitchell Hall Deputy Editor
NEW YORK, Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Minyanville Media, the Emmy Award-winning financial media company, announced today that web editor and business journalist Mitchell Hall would be joining the team as Deputy Editor for the website www.minyanville.com.
A Political Science and Philosophy graduate from the University of Auckland, Hall was formerly a reporter for The National Business Review and the web editor for Get Frank Ltd. He continues to blog about a variety of topics, and writes regular business feature articles and cover stories for Idealog Magazine. Hall covers macroeconomics, technology, energy, agriculture and emerging markets.
"I love the intelligence and quality of Minyanville's content," said Hall. "But just as important, I admire how Minyanville communicates with its audience. Minyanville's tone, combined with its famously satirical irreverence, provides a thoughtful and insightful voice that has demonstrated consistent prescience on major economic issues."
Hall will be working with Editor-in-Chief Kevin Depew on managing staff writers, generating ideas for Minyanville's blog "The Daily Feed," and liaising with syndication partners, including Yahoo!, Dow Jones, MarketWatch, AOL, and MSN. He will also be working with Annie Stickney, General Manager, Online Marketing and Development on website functionality and layout.
"We're thrilled Mitchell is joining the Minyanville team," said Depew. "In addition to a strong business editorial background, he brings a global perspective that will be instrumental in developing new content initiatives."
