Miles of Murals Will Be Streamed Online During International Photo Mural-thon

SANTA ANA, Calif., April 30 /PRNewswire/ -- A 24hour Photo Mural-thon via UStream will be hosted live by the Art Miles Mural Project on Friday, May 14, 2010 in Santa Ana. The interactive event will share a constantly-growing collection of art that has promoted healing and peace worldwide.
Circle of Cause, an NGO media consortium, will produce the Photo Mural-thon to cap the United Nations International Decade for a Culture of Peace. During the last ten years, Art Miles has championed the painting of more than 4,000 life-size canvas murals by more than 500,000 children (and some adults ) in 125 countries.
People featured at the Photo Mural-thon
- Local school children will paint panels of a twelve-mile mural to be installed across Egypt this fall, culminating in construction of a Muramid built of digitized images.
- Professional photographers will digitally document the mural panels during themed collaboration sessions.
- There will be performances by Scarlet Rivera, Music Mile Ambassador and one of the world's most high-profile violinists; Paul Hanna, Art Miles Mural Project composer and musician Evren Ozan, teenage Native American flute musician; and LA Music Award winner Spirit Soul and Friends.
- Ally Woodard, age 10, Art Miles Ambassador and youngest-ever recipient of the White House Project's Epic Award, will be recognized for her role in delivering hand-painted sneakers to thousands of children in Africa, Bangladesh, Mexico, Cambodia, and Haiti.
- Honored guests will be Art Miles co-founders Fouad and Joanne Tawfilis; Joanne is scheduled to deliver a keynote address at the 2nd World Conference on Arts Education in Seoul, South Korea.
