Mikros Systems Corporation Demonstrates Adept System at U.S. Navy's Fleet Maintenance and Modernization Symposium
PRINCETON, N.J., Sept. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Mikros Systems Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: MKRS), exhibited its ADEPT system at the U.S. Navy's Fleet Maintenance and Modernization Symposium in Virginia Beach on September 14-15. Sponsored by the American Society of Naval Engineers (ASNE), this year's theme was Meeting Challenges: Warfighting, Effectiveness, Current Readiness, Service Life and Affordability. During the keynote address, Admiral John C. Harvey, Commander of the U.S. Fleet Forces, addressed the importance of maintenance in the fleet.
During the conference, Mikros presented a technical paper entitled 'Remote Maintenance with ADEPT'. Chuck Bristow, Vice President of Engineering at Mikros, presented results obtained during distance support testing of ADEPT during the Trident Warrior 2009 exercise. The presentation was well received by both military and civilian attendees. As a result, the Company expects to attend various follow up meetings in Norfolk, Virginia with Navy maintenance personnel.
While the majority of the attendees exhibited products for Hull, Mechanical & Electrical (HM & E) systems, Mikros was among the few participants exhibiting a product to increase combat system readiness. During the two days of the conference, Mikros provided several live demonstrations of ADEPT and its distance support capabilities. Mr. Bristow stated "We are very pleased with the interest and feedback we received from Naval officers, engineers and civilian contractors. Our live demonstrations showed just how effective ADEPT can be in maintaining fleet readiness at sea in a real time and very cost effective manner. We were able to forge many new relationships with Navy leaders, prime contractors, and other attendees and plan to attend next year's event."
