Mike Guarasci joins ICMA-RC as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

WASHINGTON, Sept. 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- ICMA-RC, a Washington, D.C.-based financial services corporation that administers retirement plans and provides related services for more than one million public sector participant accounts, is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Guarasci as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He will report to ICMA-RC President and CEO Bob Schultze.

Mr. Guarasci will assume his role on Sept.1 and will be responsible for directing ICMA-RC's overall financial planning and policies, product pricing, treasury, budget, tax, and accounting practices as well as relationships with lending institutions and the financial community.

Before joining ICMA-RC, Mr. Guarasci served as Chief Financial Officer of Infraredx, Inc., providing financial leadership and direction for all aspects of financial management. Prior appointments include Indus Capital Partners LLC, Bear Stearns Asset Management, and Credit Suisse's U.S. Asset Management division where he held senior financial management roles.

Mr. Guarasci holds an MBA from State University of New York at Buffalo as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
