Microsoft Names Susan Hauser to Lead Worldwide Industry Sectors and Global Accounts
Hauser to lead Worldwide Financial Services, Distribution and Services, Manufacturing and Resources, and the Global Accounts Organization.
REDMOND, Wash., Jan. 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Microsoft Corp. today announced Susan Hauser's promotion to vice president of Worldwide Industry and Global Accounts. She replaces Brian Scott, who has assumed his new role as general manager of the Health & Life Sciences Industry. Hauser will continue to lead the Worldwide Financial Services Group as the search continues for her successor.

In her new role, Hauser will lead and have accountability for Microsoft's Worldwide Commercial Industry Sectors, including Worldwide Financial Services, Worldwide Distribution and Services, Worldwide Manufacturing and Resources, and the Global Accounts Organization. She will oversee the industry strategies, marketing, solution development, partner development, thought leadership and executive relations, ensuring the full extent of Microsoft's industry visions and value propositions are realized globally. Hauser brings over 20 years of deep customer, vertical technology, sales and management experience to this role.

Among her considerable accomplishments, Hauser was responsible for creating Microsoft's first Financial Services organization with the goal of developing a deeper understanding of Microsoft's financial services industry customers and aligning the company's efforts to better meet their business needs.
Hauser is a board member for the nonprofit organization NPower in New York and has been recognized as a noteworthy role model by Exploring Posts and LISNET for her contributions to the community, youth and women. Hauser currently lives in Westchester County, N.Y., with her husband and two sons. She will be relocating to Redmond in the near future.
