HERNDON, Va., June 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- MicroPact Inc., the global leader in Data-First™ Case Management and Business Process Management (BPM) software, announced today that the company's entellitrak platform has been selected by CACI International Inc. as part of CACI's prime task order contract from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Office of Medicare Hearings and Appeals (OMHA).
Using entellitrak®, a Web-based commercial off the shelf (COTS) software platform offered by MicroPact, CACI will develop a comprehensive appeals case management system to serve as OMHA's Electronic Case Adjudication and Processing Environment (ECAPE). The primary goal of ECAPE, which will be used to manage thousands of appeals each year, is to allow the agency to provide timely and appropriate resolutions to all appeals while digitalizing much of the documents collected and produced in the process.
"The project marks a significant win for MicroPact because it further validates our superior understanding of how a Data-First approach to case management improves the complex process of appeals management within federal agencies," said Kris Collo, President, CEO and Founder of MicroPact. "All agencies, including the Department of Health and Human Services, are being asked to improve efficiencies while delivering measurable returns on their IT investments. MicroPact is proud to work with CACI on this important project for HHS and OMHA."
The entellitrak platform will provide OMHA with an intuitive user interface, workflow management, content management, report building, and analytics tools all within a secure hosted environment.
OMHA administers appeals for the Medicare program, specifically those related to coverage determinations that reach Level 3 of the claims appeal process. Under this specific contract, the CACI team will implement ECAPE using the entellitrak platform as the basis for a comprehensive case management solution designed to streamline and increase the efficiency of the Medicare appeals process, from request for appeal to the final disposition of each case.
The ability for OMHA to receive and accept new evidence is critical. The entellitrak platform accommodates that need while ensuring the proper organization of all case files. Using the entellitrak efile® module, the new system will feature a secure Web portal where appellants can upload and create files, view documents, and track specific documents in order to reduce any redundant filing requests for hearings or supporting medical or legal documentation.
"MicroPact understands the appeals management process from start to finish," said Growson Edwards, Chief Customer Officer at MicroPact. "The entellitrak platform is a proven technology in the field of appeals management within the federal government. MicroPact has worked with the U.S. Department of Labor Office of Appeals to deliver an enterprise-level appeals case management system for four different program offices."
MicroPact's entellitrak platform provides comprehensive solutions to enterprise customers within the federal, state and commercial markets. The platform's fully integrated Document Management, Mobile, Natural language Analytics, escan, and efile modules provide intelligent on-ramps and off-ramps for knowledge workers so that they can manage the myriad of data types.
