MegaTV KTBU-Channel 55 in Houston, Texas Appoints Gerardo Reyes to General Sales Manager
MIAMI, Oct. 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Spanish Broadcasting System Inc., ("SBS") (Nasdaq: SBSA) announced today the appointment of industry veteran, Gerardo Reyes as General Sales Manager for MegaTV KTBU-Channel 55, SBS's television property. In his new role, Mr. Reyes will be responsible for regional "spot" sales for MegaTV in Houston, Texas, while coordinating and overseeing local sales representatives. Based in Houston, Texas, Reyes will assume his new responsibilities immediately.

Reyes was previously a General Sales Manager for Liberman Broadcasting Inc. in Houston, Texas. Prior to joining MegaTV, from 2002 to 2004, he was Retail Manager for WPAT 93.1FM Amor and WSKQ La Mega 97.9FM in New York. He also held managerial roles at Radio Uno, Radio Unica, WSUA Caracol Radio, WADO 1280AM Radio. Gerardo also has extensive experience negotiating sports rights and is a pioneer in producing sports programming. This includes soccer, basketball, boxing and cycling.
Reyes graduated from Jorge Tadeo Lozano University in Bogota, Colombia. He received a degree in Science in Marketing and Advertising from Montclair State University. And a special certification from the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) in Executive Development Program for Radio Broadcasters from Georgetown University School of Business
Among his passions is his affinity for fitness which includes cycling and soccer tournaments.
