MedZed names Neil A. Solomon, M.D., as Co-founder, Chief Strategist & Chief Medical Officer

ATLANTA, Sept. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- MedZed, LLC announced today that Neil A. Solomon, M.D., has joined the company as Co-Founder, Chief Strategist, and Chief Medical Officer.  Dr. Solomon brings to the company his deep industry insights and clinical experience regarding health systems design, chronic disease management, managed care, health care reform, and telemedicine. 

Dr. Solomon was most recently Vice President for Quality and Care System Transformation at Blue Shield of California, a 3.5 million member Blues plan with innovative Accountable Care Organization programs, advanced quality systems, and novel telemedicine programs.  He has previously held clinical leadership roles at Kaiser Permanente and Health Net, as well as founded and led NAS Consulting Services, which provided clinical redesign consulting to physician groups across the country.  He has written on the potential benefits of telemedicine to help transform the health care system, and helped drive telemedicine adoption in California.  Dr. Solomon is a Board Certified Internist, a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, and practiced in primary care and geriatric care settings for 20 years.
