MedOptions Connect™ telehealth services deliver access to critical behavioral health and elderly mental health services to patients and facilities in rural areas where clinicians with the specialized training required to appropriately provide assessment and treatment aren't usually available. Through WeCounsel's easy-to-use and HIPAA compliant software platform, the MedOptions team of clinicians can securely see and communicate with patients virtually anywhere without the need for patient transport.
"Telehealth technology is leading the way to put patients first," Randy DioGuardi, Director of Telehealth for MedOptions said. "We are bringing world-class behavioral healthcare to rural and underserved areas of the nation, and this partnership with WeCounsel helps us improve efficiencies related to providing these critical services which will improve accessibility for patients everywhere. Our approach utilizing WeCounsel also decreases costs for our LTC partners."
As a result of MedOptions' industry-leading approach to telehealth, the company's unique clinical and telehealth facilitator model is quickly gaining notoriety among skilled nursing and long-term care facilities.
MedOptions selected WeCounsel as its telehealth software provider after a beta rollout with its Western Massachusetts telehealth clinicians. WeCounsel's software will now be utilized by all MedOptions clinicians providing services through MedOptions Connect™.
