McGraw-Hill Broadcasting Names Larry Blackerby Vice President, General Manager of WRTV, Indianapolis
INDIANAPOLIS, Nov. 29, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- McGraw-Hill Broadcasting, a unit of The McGraw-Hill Companies (NYSE: MHP), today announced the appointment of Larry Blackerby as vice president and general manager of WRTV, the ABC-affiliate station in Indianapolis, effective Jan. 3, 2011. In this position, Mr. Blackerby will be responsible for the strategy and day-to-day editorial and business operations of WRTV and the station's digital properties.

Mr. Blackerby has more than 30 years of experience in television markets around the country, including Palm Springs, CA; Jacksonville, FL; Jackson, MI; and Greensboro-Winston-Salem-High Point, NC. Most recently, he was vice president and general manager of KPRC-TV, the NBC affiliate in Houston, which he joined in 2006.
Mr. Blackerby holds a bachelor's degree in Radio-Television-Film from Indiana State University and an associate degree in Applied Science from Lake Land College.
Mr. Blackerby succeeds Donald Lundy, who is retiring at the end of 2010 after a distinguished career at WRTV and The McGraw-Hill Companies.
