Mayor Richard M. Daley to Speak to 50 Principals and Aspiring Principals at New Leaders for New Schools Convening
CHICAGO, May 4 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Mayor Richard M. Daley will be the keynote speaker on May 5, 2010 at a kick-off reception for the New Leaders for New Schools Chicago Community Summit. Daley will speak to a large group of 50 principals, assistant principals and other school leaders trained by New Leaders for New Schools to lead reform for Chicago Public Schools. In addition, leaders from Chicago's education, business and philanthropy communities will be present.
This reception brings together a community of New Leaders for New Schools' stakeholders to celebrate the work being done by dynamic school leaders to drive student achievement for Chicago's children. Currently, New Leaders in Chicago are impacting nearly 60,000 Chicago Public School students every day.
