Matt Damon Leads Christoph Waltz in Green Globe Film Awards Nominations for Best Supporting Actor
HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Feb. 23 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Worldwide movie viewers are favoring long-time Hollywood idol Matt Damon at the Green Globe Film Awards. Christoph Waltz, who has walked away with five Best Supporting Actor awards this year for his role in Quentin Tarantino's "Inglourious Basterds", may not be exclaiming "That's a Bingo!" at the Green Globe Film Awards on March 23rd as Matt Damon has led in Green Globe nominations for his performance in Clint Eastwood's "Invictus".
Although American actor, writer, and philanthropist Matt Damon, is no stranger to film awards, he has faced stiff competition this year against the Austrian actor Christoph Waltz. However, the tides may change at the Green Globe Film Awards for Damon as fans have the final say in selecting the award recipients. And who would dare bet against the 2007 People Magazine selection for "Sexiest Man Alive" as a fan favorite? In addition to his nomination for Best Supporting Actor, Matt Damon has received Green Globe Film Award nominations in the categories of "Best Actor" for his role in "The Informant" and "10 Best Actors of the Decade".
