Marvin® Windows and Doors Announces Architects Challenge Showdown

Showdown winner to be chosen by public vote; contest features multiple voting rounds

WARROAD, Minn., June 6, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The 2016 Marvin Architects Challenge has opened a second phase of the annual competition: the Architects Challenge Showdown. In May, six architect-designed projects were announced as winners in their architectural segments, as chosen by a panel of industry experts. Now, Marvin is offering the general public the chance to choose the Showdown winner.

The Marvin Architects Challenge Showdown features all of the entries into the 2016 program, and every project is eligible to win. Four rounds of voting make up the Showdown:

The Villa Renewed by Mark Nelson of David Heide Design Studio was the winner of the 2015 Marvin Architects Challenge Showdown. Voting is now open for the public to choose the winner of the 2016 Marvin Architects Challenge Showdown. Voting runs from June 6 to July 1, with the winner being announced the week of July 4.

June 6 – June 12: All projects entered in 2016
June 13 – June 19: The top 25 projects
June 20 – June 26: The top 10 projects
June 27 – July 1: The top 3 projects

During the voting period, the public is eligible to vote for one project per day at Marvin.com/Showdown. The Showdown winner will be announced the week of July 4.

This year's winning architect will receive a trip to the 2016 Greenbuild International Conference and Expo, held from October 5 to 6 in Los Angeles.
