The American Business Awards for Women in Business recognized Ms. Dai for her vision and contributions in advancing technology innovation and her exemplary role for women in business. Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for "crowned," the awards were presented to winners at the 10th Annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business Gala on November 8th at New York's Marriott Marquis Hotel.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business are the world's top honors for female entrepreneurs, executives, employees and the organizations they run. Prior to co-founding Marvell, Ms. Dai was involved in software development and project management at Canon Research Center America, Inc. Ms. Dai is an active philanthropist, leading Marvell's global civic engagements, including major partnership with the One Laptop Per Child program (OLPC). In recognition of their generosity, Sutardja Dai Hall at her alma mater UC Berkeley was named for Ms. Dai along with her husband Sehat Sutardja, CEO of Marvell and Pantas Sutardja, CTO of Marvell. Sutardja Dai Hall is home to the Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society (CITRIS). Ms. Dai was selected as the first woman commencement speaker at the University of California, Berkeley, College of Engineering graduation ceremony on May 12, 2012.
