Mark Mizrahi Named President and CEO of EnLink Geoenergy
RANCHO DOMINGUEZ, Calif., Sept. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- EnLink Geoenergy, a leading firm in the development and installation of geothermal heat pump heating and cooling systems, has named Mr. Mark Mizrahi as its new president and CEO.
Mr. Mizrahi has worked with EnLink for two years, helping the company through a recent period of growth and leading a move to California from Texas. Mr. Mizrahi has an extensive background in developing and implementing corporate strategies in the areas of new market entry, organizational development, operations improvement and business restructuring.
EnLink designs and constructs earth heat exchange systems, the key underground component of a heating and cooling technology known as a geothermal heat pump (GHP) system. A GHP system can replace much of the equipment used in a conventional heating and air conditioning system, reducing energy use by as much as 60 percent.
GHP systems use the constant temperature of the ground hundreds of feet below the surface as a highly-efficient heat sink that absorbs heat in cooling mode and as a highly-efficient heat source in heating mode. In short, a GHP system transfers heat in the air from the building to the ground in summer & vice versa in winter.
Important EnLink projects include:
- The geothermal heating and cooling system for the Asia House Museum in Houston, Texas, a 30,000 sq. ft. museum designed by internationally known architect Yoshio Taniguchi.
- A geothermal heating and cooling installation for the Cobb County School District in Georgia that is one of the first commercial scale geothermal projects in the state.
- A geothermal retrofit for the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens installed without damaging any of the existing plants on site, and that will provide tremendous energy savings.
- EnLink continues its 10-year track record with the US Military with two additional installations at Shaw AFB in Sumter, South Carolina, one for a new physical fitness center and the other for a new dormitory, which will dramatically reduce the energy consumption and completely eliminate HVAC related water consumption.
Prior to joining EnLink, Mr. Mizrahi worked with a private investor group to identify and invest in new business opportunities internationally. Before that, he was a Vice President of International Development for GameWorks, an entertainment company then-owned by Universal Studios, and a consultant at A.T. Kearney, a major U.S. management consulting firm, helping to improve operations and organizational development projects for major American and international companies.
Mr. Mizrahi has a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University where he was awarded the Coca-Cola Fellowship for International Business and a B.A. in Economics from University of California, Berkeley.
