magicJack Receives the 2013 Frost & Sullivan North America Consumers' Choice Award for Overall Best VoIP Service Provider
magicJack tops user survey in terms of overall quality, value, and other important parameters
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Jan. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Based on Frost & Sullivan's independent research, Consumer Communications Preferences, surveying North American Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) consumers, magicJack emerges as the overall best VoIP service provider. Frost & Sullivan's Choice Awards measure the major competitors based upon consumers' evaluations of the brands they use.
The survey, which evaluated magicJack along with its peers on various parameters, including overall quality, ease of use, billing practices, value and pricing for VoIP services, showed magicJack's lead in all of these categories.
"Consumers rate magicJack higher than its major competitors," noted Frost & Sullivan Senior Analyst Joerg Dittmer. "For overall quality, magicJack is rated 5.8 on a seven-point scale, while its major competitors much lower. In ease of use, billing practices, value and pricing, both magicJack's ratings and leads are also much stronger."
Frost & Sullivan's study also reveals that about 8 percent of U.S. households that use VoIP use magicJack (a substantial number) and that it is also gaining in popularity in Canada as well. magicJack is accomplishing this even in the face of increasing integration of conventional services, indicating that customers value its quality and price performance.
Overall, magicJack has a clear lead in offering customers a positive VoIP experience and is a worthy recipient of the 2013 Frost & Sullivan North America Consumers' Choice Award for Overall Best VoIP Service Provider.
