Madison Portfolio Consultants Joins Clearbrook Global's Institutional Investor Consulting Team

NEW YORK, April 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Clearbrook Global, an experienced institutional investment consultant dedicated to bringing greater transparency, objectivity and choice to the advisement process, has announced that Madison Portfolio Consultants has merged with the firm, further strengthening research and investment portfolio analytics across all asset classes. The merger also strengthens the firm's ability to create custom solutions for specific client needs and its willingness to act as fiduciary and strategically on behalf of all its clients. The merger will increase Clearbrook's assets under advisement to more than $30 billion.

Madison is the second group to join Clearbrook in six months with the focus on expanding research and consulting offerings to clients. Madison Portfolio Consultants was founded in 1990 by Alan Weisenberg, providing investment consulting and asset class research services to sponsors of portfolios of investment assets.

The Madison team is led by Frederick W. Weiss, who will serve as Managing Director of Clearbrook Global and as a member of the firm's executive committee, responsible for working with clients as well as leading the firm's efforts in providing fiduciary investment solutions. Mr. Weiss previously served as an Officer and a Senior Consultant for Madison Portfolio Consultants, assisting institutional clients with a range of consulting services. He brings more than 25 years experience and deep investment expertise to Clearbrook, having led and participated on Investment Committees, overseen the manager research process and provided strategic client advice.

Daniel Lehrer, CFA, formerly Vice President of Madison, will serve as Director of Clearbrook Global, responsible for the oversight of the client portfolio research and analytics. Mr. Lehrer brings more than 36 years of experience to Clearbrook, having worked for the Asset Consulting Group, Prudential Bache-Securities and Merrill Lynch before cofounding Madison.

John Flack, CFA, formerly a Consultant for Madison, joins Clearbrook Global as a Director, responsible for client consulting and project work. He began his investment consulting career in 1990 with Bank of New York's investment consulting group and also worked at Chase Consulting Group before joining Madison in 2000.
