Luxury home, cabin, Douglas Lake land among properties selling at auction
SEVIERVILLE, Tenn., June 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- A luxury home in Sevierville's Wears Valley community, an elegant cabin, and 28 acres on Douglas Lake are among properties that will be sold at auction Saturday, June 22, with Target Auction Company conducting the event.
"One thing we're seeing with the improving real estate market is a surge of interest in luxury and vacation properties, so it's a good time to be selling these properties, which are all located in the gateway to some of Tennessee's most popular vacation destinations," said Dewey Jacobs, president of the auction company.
The luxury home in Wears Valley features custom carved logs and stonework, wraparound decks and porches, a steel lined fire pit, a hot tub, and a custom oak spiral staircase leading to a loft. The furnished cabin sleeps up to 10 adults, with two Jacuzzi tubs, double decks, an outdoor hot tub and mountain views.
The auction will also include approximately 28 acres on Douglas Lake and 67 acres in Rich Mountain Estates, in Sevier County.
"Taken as a whole, we have two homes with incredible mountain views, as well as land for high-end homes on the lake as well as in elite subdivisions," said Jacobs.
Most of the properties will sell absolute, with no minimum or reserve bid.
The auction will begin at 11 a.m. at The Barn at Immanuel's Farm, 3154 Wears Valley Road, Sevierville, Tenn. Auction personnel will be available to guide inspections and provide detailed information from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. EDT on June 8, 9, 15, 16 and 21.
