Lucky Magazine Announces First Ever Two-Day FABB: Fashion and Beauty Blog Conference

NEW YORK, Aug. 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Lucky, the magazine about shopping, announced today its first-ever two-day FABB conference taking place September 5th and 6th. FABB: The Fashion and Beauty Blog conference is the first blogger event of its kind, curating an elite group of digital fashion, beauty, technology and celebrity leaders along with influential advertisers to the blogger community. FABB will be held at the TimesCenter (242 West 41st Street) in NYC. Day one of FABB is comprised of a series of panels and keynotes featuring industry insiders to speak on the day's theme: "Making it on Your Own Terms." In true Lucky fashion, day two is all about shopping. Participants will attend an intimate breakfast with Lucky editors, who will then lead the bloggers on a shopping journey through Manhattan's hottest neighborhoods.

Fashion industry icons will kick-off the event by answering questions from the FABB bloggers in a session called "Ask an Icon." Rachel Zoe, designer and stylist, will give a keynote address with Brandon Holley, Lucky Editor in Chief. Lauren Conrad, author and fashion designer, will give a second keynote with Lucky Beauty Director, Jean Godfrey-June. The day will wrap with an in-depth conversation between Simon Doonan, Brand Ambassador of Barneys New York, and fashion designer Anna Sui.
Among the event's highlights are panels on the "Future of Fashion" with Steven Kolb, CEO, CFDA; Mitch Grossbach, Executive, CAA; Shana Fisher, Managing Partner, Highline Ventures; Federico Marchetti, Co-Founder and CEO, YOOX; "Amplifying Your Brand" with Lauren Bush Lauren, Chief FEEDer and Co-Founder, FEED Projects; Susan Lyne, Chairman, Gilt Groupe; Aliza Licht, Senior Vice President, Global Communications, Donna Karan New York and a lesson on "Finding the Perfect Traffic Mix" with Raman Kia, Executive Director of Digital Strategy, Conde Nast. Bloggers will participate in breakout sessions on topics including "How to Quit Your Job 101" presented by Amber Venz, President, rewardStyle; "Developing Your Voice" presented by; Deb Schwartz, Executive Editor, Lucky; Erica Domesek, Founder, PS I Made This...; "Media Training" presented by Lucky Style Contributor, Lori Bergamotto and "How Do I Look" portfolio review presented by and Ben Lebowitz of Club Monaco. The day will conclude with a cocktail party hosted by Lucky Editor in Chief, Brandon Holley.
