Los Angeles Business Leader Carlos Siderman Calls On Californians To Lead In Humanitarian Efforts
LOS ANGELES, Aug. 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- As acts of violence and civilian suffering escalate across the globe, one Southern Californian business leader is calling upon all citizens to stand up and make a difference for all individual human rights.
Carlos Siderman, president of Property ID Corporation spent his formative years in Argentina, during a time of government-sponsored brutality, kidnappings, torture and anti-Semitism. With human atrocities occurring in nearly every continent, Siderman believes it's up to citizens, not politicians to enable change.
Carlos Siderman is a highly recognized business leader in California real estate and a recognized humanitarian. His company is at the forefront for research and delivery of required-by-law disclosures for officially mapped federal, state and local hazards to commercial and residential properties with the Property ID Natural Hazard Reports.
"Every U.S. citizen can make a difference and show the world that compassion, caring and respect for all life is America's primary mission. There are many worthy local and international non-profit organizations that are in desperate need of additional support," said Carlos Siderman. "Charity begins at home, and every act extends to the four corners of humanity. If there was ever a time when Americans could volunteer or donate any of their time or resources, now is that time!"
Widely regarded as the founder of the real estate disclosure industry, Carlos Siderman partnered with the Fulbright Commission in Argentina to create and fund the Fulbright-Jose Siderman Human Rights Fellowship at Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles. The Fellowship brings Argentinean lawyers to the United States to complete their L.L.M. degree in civil liberties and human rights advocacy. Fellowship graduates today hold top positions in Argentina and the United Nations.
Other organizations benefiting from his support include:
- Program for Torture Victims rebuilds the lives of torture survivors from over 70 countries who have stood up for freedom, equality and human dignity. PTV has helped heal the wounds of thousands of survivors and their families through a comprehensive approach, including medical treatment, psychological counseling, assistance winning asylum and help finding jobs and housing. By directly supporting torture survivors, PTV works toward its vision of a world without torture.
- Peace Over Violence benefits victims of sexual and domestic violence, stalking, child abuse and youth violence.
- American Civil Liberties Union of Southern California defends the fundamental rights in the Constitution and Bill of Rights, including freedom of speech, assembly and religious freedom.
Carlos Siderman is a resident of Deer Creek Ranch Malibu in Ventura County and founder and president of Property ID Corporation, offering Property ID Natural Hazard Disclosure reports, among other real estate settlement services. He believes that one person can make a difference.
It's time for all Americans to take action and volunteer time or funds to a charity of their choice.
