Technology Veteran to Drive Growth and Innovation at Loot Crate
LOS ANGELES, Aug. 10, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Loot Crate (www.lootcrate.com), the leading fan-based commerce and community platform, announced today technology veteran John Williams has joined Loot Crate as Chief Technology Officer in the company's Los Angeles headquarters. John will be focused on guiding and scaling the company's technology strategy as Loot Crate experiences phenomenal growth.
Williams, known for disrupting the auto industry through cutting-edge data analytics at TrueCar, will play an integral role in the expansion of Loot Crate's global technology platform to enhance the consumer experience for the brand's subscribers, otherwise known as "Looters."
In his new role, Williams will oversee application development, big data analytics, cloud infrastructure, mobile, and cyber security. Williams is a proven expert in designing cutting-edge technologies, including advanced systems automation for infrastructure, highly scalable stateless Internet services, and distributed data storage and processing systems.

Track Record of Disrupting Industries
Prior to joining Loot Crate, Williams was a senior technology executive at TrueCar, where he spearheaded the technology strategy and creation of a unified data platform that put the company on the path to a successful IPO.
He also served as a senior technology advisory consultant to numerous world-class organizations across diverse industries, including financial services, Internet search, digital entertainment, government and military. In that capacity, he has designed and built large-scale and highly secure digital marketplace platforms used by millions of people around the world every day.
Previously, Williams was the Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of Preventsys, Inc., a leading provider of automated network security policy enforcement software (acquired by Intel). At Preventsys, John built the company from two founders to over one hundred employees, designed the product, attracted over $20MM in venture investment and launched the product to great acclaim, including the CONNECT award for Most Innovative New Product.
