Look Out, Adventure Bay: Comedian Jim Gaffigan Joins PAW Patrol
Spin Master Entertainment and TV Land produce animated PAW Patrol promo for season two of The Jim Gaffigan Show
TORONTO, June 17, 2016 /PRNewswire/ - Parents and children around the world are fans of PAW Patrol and now one well-known parent is taking his love of the show to an unprecedented level. Jim Gaffigan – comedian, father of five and star of The Jim Gaffigan Show – is joining the pack of heroic pups.
TVLand and Spin Master Entertainment have partnered to create an animated promotional spot starring the comedian to publicize the second season of The Jim Gaffigan Show, which debuts on Father's Day, June 19, 2016. The collaboration, which will air until June 19, marks the first time a celebrity has appeared as a member of the PAW Patrol.
"It was a dream come true to join the pack," said Gaffigan, "Now, I challenge any parent of a PAW Patrol-loving preschooler to top this achievement by watching The Jim Gaffigan Show this Sunday night on TV Land," he added.
The 30 second animated spot depicts Gaffigan as a member of the PAW Patrol who prefers napping and eating – popular Gaffigan themes – over solving problems and saving the day in Adventure Bay.
"This was such a novel opportunity," said Laura Clunie, Vice President, Spin Master Entertainment. "Parents watch PAW Patrol with their kids, so we loved the idea of connecting with them through Jim Gaffigan's honest, relatable comedy."
PAW Patrol airs on Nickelodeon in the United States and on a variety of educational channels in Canada.
The Jim Gaffigan Show airs on TVLand and Comedy Central.
