Lockton to Expand Insurance Operations to Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn., June 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Lockton, the world's largest privately held insurance broker, has opened a Memphis risk management and employee benefits operation.  Joe Lammel, a Memphis community leader and long time insurance brokerage executive will lead the office as Executive Vice President. The Lockton Memphis team will provide commercial insurance, risk management, and employee benefits services for clients regionally, nationally, and internationally.

Joe Lammel spent more than 30 years with insurance broker Marsh, Inc., most recently as the leader of its Memphis brokerage operation.  He specializes in transportation, construction, surety, and financial risks.  He holds a bachelor's degree in risk management from the University of Memphis along with the CPCU designation from the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters.  He is also an active Memphis civic leader, serving on the executive committee of the board of the Orpheum Theater and the Memphis Development Foundation.  He is a past board chair of Lifeblood and St. Agnes Academy.
