Lockton Adds Health Risk Management Consultant to Southeast Team

ATLANTA, Nov. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Lockton, the world's largest privately held insurance broker, has named Valerie Houghton, RD, LD, as Health Risk Manager for its southeast operation, based in Atlanta.  As Health Risk Manager, Houghton supports clients in evaluating, recommending, implementing, and measuring wellness programs that improve employee health and reduce employer costs.

She has also worked in health and nutrition in the United Arab Emirates and as ARAMARK Healthcare's Director of Patient Services in London.  In addition, she has several years of experience in leadership roles with ARAMARK in Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Houston healthcare and school nutrition divisions.

Houghton is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in food, nutrition, and institutional management, and is pursuing a Master's degree in sports nutrition. She is both a registered dietitian and licensed dietitian, and is a contributing writer for several professional nutrition and health websites.
