Microsoft Azure allows Lionbridge to support GeoFluent customer requirements and preferences for data location; Provides enhanced enterprise-grade performance and uptime
WALTHAM, Mass., Nov. 30, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Lionbridge Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: LIOX) today announced that its GeoFluent real-time translation solution is now available on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform to support its global clients. The availability of Azure from 30 regions across the globe allows Lionbridge to support GeoFluent customer data residency requirements and preferences for data storage. Customers also benefit from Azure's world-class reliability and performance.
This is especially important for the growing number of European customers who are using GeoFluent to address their pronounced language challenges. These clients will use GeoFluent delivered from Azure regions throughout Europe, to allow for real-time translation services across borders and in compliance with European personal data transfer requirements. Lionbridge will replicate this model to support GeoFluent customers in other parts of world, leveraging regional datacenters to support appropriate data privacy requirements.
