Lightning McQueen to Star at Volo Auto Museum Charity Car Show and Festival This Sunday

CHICAGO, June 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- On July 3rd the soul of Hollywood will be in the heart of Volo.  From Hollywood California, legendary George Barris will be hosting Volo's car show and festival that will be raising money to benefit NorthPoint Research.  George Barris is one of the oldest living legends amongst car customizers and is currently a celebrity judge on Speed Channel's hit show, Car Warriors.  He is responsible for some of the most recognizable cars on the planet, many of which were made famous on the big and small screen, including the original Batmobile, which has found a permanent home in the museum's collection of more than 100 famous Hollywood and TV cars.  The day is slated with all kinds of activities for the whole family.  Kids of all ages are going to love seeing Lightning McQueen from Disney's CARS.  World's Tallest Elvis will be stilt walking through the crowds entertaining the kids with balloon animals, juggling and more.  Kids will also be able to meet characters from Key Lime Cove and Rainforest Cafe.  For the adults, there will be a live band playing classic rock hits, a rated G pin up girl contest, celebrity NHRA drivers and tons of giveaways and raffles throughout the day.  For the show car participants there are over 30 trophies to be awarded!  People will also be able to enjoy delicious food from their outdoor grill, featuring a pig roast and beer garden.  Now also serving all natural Island Oasis frozen drinks!
