PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 9, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Life of Purpose Addiction Treatment Centers announced it has hired Dr. Tracy Blatt as its new Medical Director.
Dr. Blatt is an alumna of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine with a significant concentration in molecular and cellular biology. Blatt is an avid proponent for preventative health and strong client/physician relationships. She has extensive experience working with substance abuse disorder clients which includes her expertise in providing MAT (medical assisted treatment). Because of Blatt's understanding of MAT, she is able to develop custom treatment plans that are tailored specifically for each Life of Purpose client. According to Blatt, "I am delighted to join the Life of Purpose Team because of our shared philosophy of assuring the strongest medical and clinical treatment to our clients and their families as they begin their journey towards recovery. My passion for addiction treatment stems from my dedication in internal medicine but, in large part, for the hope and joy of providing effective treatment to clients and their families."
According to Life of Purpose Executive Director, Bethany Kassar, MSW, LCSW, "As the Life of Purpose client base continues to grow, and our clients continue to present with more sophisticated behavioral health and physical issues, it was evident we needed someone of Dr. Blatt's sophistication and medical expertise. I had the opportunity to work with Dr. Blatt when she previously served as Medical Director for Summit Behavioral Health. Having her join our team ensures Life of Purpose will provide the medical and behavioral health modalities our clients and their families need and deserve."
With the addition of Dr. Blatt, Life of Purpose is excited to announce the expansion of their MAT and medical services. As a client of Life of Purpose one can now obtain an induction and be maintained on their prescribed medication such as suboxone or Vivitrol. For those clients who have struggled with medication management and compliance, Life of Purpose is now offering pharmacogenetic testing. These additional services add to the quality of care offered that a client and their loved ones can access.
Life of Purpose has clinical outpatient locations in Fort Washington, Yardley, and Bala Cynwyd with both day and evening treatment services to accommodate the life engagements and requirements of its clients and their families.
Life of Purpose Addiction Treatment is owned by and part of the City Line Behavioral Healthcare treatment continuum.
