LIDE GOLF ACADEMY Holds Golf Clinics with Sean Foley in Punta Cana
The event brought together 30 Brazilian executives and major entrepreneurs at three of the best golf courses with the world's most famous coach
SAO PAULO, July 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- From July 24-27, LIDE – Grupo de Lideres Empresariais, held the 1st LIDE Golf Academy at Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. Hosting the event was Paulo Uebel, CEO of LIDE, under the auspices of Alvaro Almeida, former President of the Brazilian Golf Confederation and the Paulista Golf Federation; and Felipe Almeida, business executive and Brazilian golf Champion. For four days, the participants took classes with Sean Foley, swing coach of some of the world's greatest players, such as Tiger Woods, Justin Rose, Hunter Mahan, Edoardo Molinari and Stephen Ames, among other champions. In addition, the executives had a chance to develop closer relations, network and make new friends.
With a focus on relationships and generating new business among those present, the LIDE Golf Academy championship unfolded on three of the world's greatest golf courses in the Dominican Republic: the La Cana Golf Club, Los Corales Golf Course and the Punta Espada Golf Club, while participants were guests at the Tortuga Bay Hotel, a luxury development designed by Oscar de La Renta.
The scoring system chosen was Stableford, which allows players of various different levels to compete in a balanced and contested engagement. After 3 days of play under a 30°C sun, the three top players were, in order: Felipe Almeida, partner of Aktuellmix; Besaliel Botelho, President & CEO of Bosch Latin America; and Renato Velloso, VP of QUALICORP.
