At today's event on the eve of the Big Game, Baskett's wife and reality TV star Kendra Wilkinson is hosting a dance-off with attending fans. As part of its sponsorship, LG is providing a 55-inch class (54.6-inches diagonal) LED HDTV for the lucky winner.
"We created this event as a way to bring athletes and fans together for a good cause," said Hank Baskett, former NFL wide receiver with the Minnesota Vikings, Philadelphia Eagles and Indianapolis Colts. "It's great to be working with a company like LG whose Life's Good attitude reflects what we're trying to accomplish with the Griffin Gives Foundation."
The event is being held today at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Times Square. There are more than 50 expected VIP guests including Adrian Peterson, Ray Rice, Paris Hilton, Plaxico Burress, and Gene Simmons, among others. Proceeds will support the Griffin Gives Foundation, which is dedicated to the health and wellness of children.
"We loved the idea of an event that brings people together with their idols and benefits those in need," said Kyle Kiang, director of home entertainment brand marketing, LG Electronics USA. "What better way to get excited for Sunday's Big Game than spending an afternoon with NFL players for charity and having chance to win a big new flat-screen HDTV?"
