LegalZoom Files Registration Statement for a Proposed Initial Public Offering

GLENDALE, Calif., May 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- LegalZoom.com, Inc., the leading online provider of services that meet the legal needs of small businesses and consumers in the United States, today announced that it has publicly filed its registration statement on Form S-1 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission relating to the proposed initial public offering of its common stock.  LegalZoom previously submitted its registration statement to the Securities and Exchange Commission on a confidential basis under the Jumpstart Our Business Startups ("JOBS") Act.  The number of shares to be offered and the price range for the offering have not been determined.  LegalZoom intends to apply to list its common stock on The New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol "LGZ".

Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC and BofA Merrill Lynch will act as joint book-running managers for the offering.  Stifel Nicolaus Weisel, RBC Capital Markets, William Blair and Montgomery & Co. will act as co-managers.
