SAN JOSE, Calif., Sept. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading global technology company LeEco appoints Richard Ren as President of Smart Devices for its Overseas and North America operations, and as Acting President of North America.
As President of LeEco Smart Devices, Ren is in charge of the end-to-end Smart Devices businesses for North America, Asia Pacific, Russia and Eastern Europe. As Acting President of LeEco North America, Ren will be in charge of all North America vertical businesses in North America, including smart devices (TV, smartphones, virtual reality, Super Bike, accessories, etc.), content, platforms and supporting functions.

He also previously served as Director of Huawei's Global CDMA Device Marketing and Sales Department. Under his leadership, Huawei smartphone market share skyrocketed to becoming one of the top three in Western Europe within five years, and CDMA terminal devices rose to top three globally within four years. Ren is a graduate of Nanjing University where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration.
As part of the company's ambitious globalization plans, LeEco recently acquired VIZIO for $2 Billion, opened an 80,000 square foot North American headquarters in Silicon Valley, and completed the purchase of a 48.6-acre parcel of land in Santa Clara, California from Yahoo! Corp.
