Latin American Collaboration Services Market to Double in Size by 2017
Two New Studies Reveals Huge Potential for Audio & Web Conferencing Services in Latin America
BOSTON, April 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Two new studies just released by Wainhouse Research (http://www.wainhouse.com) provides strong evidence that migration towards online meetings as an alternative way to connect and work is accelerating in Latin America. Wainhouse Research believes much of this momentum is driven by strong local economies seeking new communication services, large geographic distances between businesses and their trading partners, and a continuing demand for greater personal productivity.
The new studies, 2013 Latin American Audio Conferencing Service Market Sizing & 5-Year Forecast and 2013 Latin American Web Conferencing Service Market Sizing & 5-Year Forecast, shows audio conferencing minute volume grew more than 44% in 2012 and is expected to grow 325% from 2012 to 2017, and web conferencing usage grew 159% in 2012 with revenue growth of nearly 354% forecasted by 2017.
The studies focus on Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, and Columbia. Interviews were conducted with local collaboration service providers across these regions. Ranked by revenue, InterCall is the largest provider of collaboration services in the Latin American region and provides more services in more local markets than any other provider. Brazil is the largest market in terms of revenue, but is closely followed by Mexico in audio minute volume, but not revenue, as prices-per-minute are lower in Mexico than in Brazil.
These studies provide detailed analysis of services and provider rankings by service for each country. The data from these studies will prove invaluable to carriers, network service providers, and conferencing service providers (CSPs) in establishing marketing strategies and product offerings and in determining sales plans and budgets for local markets in Latin America. Each study is available individually, or as part of a Wainhouse Research subscription.
