L & L Energy Commissions Special Task Force to Evaluate Potential Appointments of Auditors
SEATTLE, Sept. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- L & L Energy, Inc., (Nasdaq: LLEN) ("L&L" or the "Company"), a U.S.-based company, operating coal mining and distribution businesses in China, today announced that the Board of Directors appointed a special task force to study and evaluate the appointment of additional firms to enhance the quality of the Company's accounting operations.
The task force will be headed by the Company's new CAO, Paul Cheng. He will report its findings and recommendations within three months to Ian Robinson, CPA and an ex-partner at Ernst & Young; who chairs L&L's audit committee.
L&L's accounting department includes 3 U.S. CPAs at its Seattle headquarters, a certified internal auditor (CIA), and other licensed accounting professionals to oversee the Company's accounting operations.
As an SEC accelerated filer, L&L has implemented internal control programs and plans to appoint an independent outside auditing firm to begin auditing its internal control systems. L&L will engage additional auditing firms to ensure an independent opinion on financial accuracy and the US GAAP compliance. All of L&L's senior managers are United States citizens with strong management experience in America, which is a strategic advantage for L&L.
