KUBOO And King Features Syndicate Sign Licensing Agreement For POPEYE ® THE SAILOR MAN To Be Used In Virtual World
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Oct. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- KUBOO, Inc., DBA Safe Communications., (SGTB) announced today that it has obtained a license from Hearst Corporation's King Features for POPEYE and associated characters. The license allows KUBOO to create, promote, advertise, market, distribute and sell a POPEYE-themed destination located within the KUBOO.Com interactive virtual world.
The license agreement gives KUBOO the right to create and market POPEYE-branded virtual items such as clothing, furnishings and decorations. Preliminary development of the POPEYE characters and "Goon Island" setting have been underway several months and will be released first quarter 2015.
