The Knowledge11 portal allows users to network through either Twitter (using the conference hash tag #know11) or the ServiceNow Knowledge Live stream. In addition, ServiceNow SaaS instances used by attendees in labs and workshops will be hosted on Amazon EC2 and will be provisioned and managed by ServiceNow via the Knowledge11 portal. The portal leverages several technologies from the ServiceNow platform including runbook automation, a content management system, survey management and many others.
The development of a conference portal built on the ServiceNow platform is representative of a move toward IT 3.0 concepts, processes and technology. The IT professionals attending Knowledge11 are defining IT transformation through a people-centric approach to IT that leverages social IT and cloud services. On day one of the conference, First American, HealthPartners and UBS will participate in a customer keynote panel discussion to discuss transformative principles bringing people, process and technology together to improve business operations.
Knowledge11, which remains the only cloud event focused exclusively on the use of cloud services by enterprise IT for the business, will feature keynote sessions from Fred Luddy, ServiceNow founder and chief product officer, as well as customer keynotes from Intel, Perrigo and CERN. Each will demonstrate IT 3.0 in the real world.
This year at Knowledge11 ServiceNow will launch its new System Administrator Certification Program. The program is designed for customers who have attended the ServiceNow System Administration class and have at least two months of hands-on experience with ServiceNow.
Knowledge11 provides a forum for forward-thinking IT professionals to share. The conference provides unique networking and learning opportunities for attendees and includes more than 70 keynotes, breakout sessions and hands-on labs highlighting the most relevant IT topics including social IT, cloud management, service catalog, CMDB, IT cost management, ITIL processes, knowledge management, business service management and many others. A majority of Knowledge11 sessions will be delivered by ServiceNow customers and IT practitioners.
Knowledge11 sponsors include Fruition Partners, Infosys, Maryville Technologies, Nashco, Navigis, Apptio, ManageIQ, CompuCom, PureShare, TGA, Agios3, Bomgar, Consulting-Portal, Pink Elephant, Techport Thirteen, and Triad Technology Partners.
To accommodate the substantial growth of the conference, ServiceNow will host Knowledge11 at Paradise Point, an island in Mission Bay north of San Diego. For more detailed information, please visit the Knowledge11 website or listen to a recording of the Knowledge11 introduction webinar.
