Knack Launches National Spread Joy Day
National Holiday Focused on Creating Joy
SEATTLE, Oct. 4, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Today Knack, a Seattle-based gifting company, launches National Spread Joy Day. The holiday, which is focused on encouraging Americans to direct their energy towards spreading joy, is in its initial year and will be celebrated nationally and locally in Seattle. National Spread Joy Day is recognized by the National Day Archives.
The holiday is the direct result of the growing negativity and hate seen across social media, across our news and politics and a desire by Knack CEO, Laura Jennings, to make a proactive change in our communities.
"I see joy pass across our mailing dock every day," said Jennings. "People are sending love and joy and positive thoughts all over the country. Most people don't see that. They only see the gift they get. So, we want to make today a chance for everyone to be part of the joyful feelings we feel every day."
There are three ways to participate in the national holiday:
- Visit Knackshops.com and be one of the first 1,000 people to send a FREE gift to anyone you choose.
- Join Knack in Seattle at Chophouse Row from 11:30-1:30pm for a festival of gift giving including free food and drinks from other local merchants: Fran's Chocolates, Molly Moon, Plum Bistro, Cafe Pettirosso, Marjorie, Tom Douglas, and more.
- Do something joyful for someone else. Let a car merge in front of you. Greet an elevator full of strangers. Tell a colleague what a great job they're doing. All it takes is one small deliberate action for joy to trump circumstance and become contagious.
