Kisoo Park Named Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Manulife Asset Management
- Highly Experienced Industry Veteran Will Support Global Bond and Foreign Exchange Research for Global Multi-Sector Fixed Income Team
BOSTON, Nov. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Kisoo Park has been named managing director and portfolio manager for the Global Multi-Sector Fixed Income team at Manulife Asset Management.
Reporting to Daniel S. Janis III, who heads the team, Mr. Park will be based in Hong Kong and support the team in global bond and foreign exchange research. His appointment is effective immediately.
Mr. Park has more than 20 years of experience in foreign exchange and global fixed income and previously was a founder and chief operating officer of an Asia-focused, event-driven hedge fund in Hong Kong.

The Global Multi-Sector Fixed Income team manages assets for institutional clients and Manulife and John Hancock investment funds globally. The team's strategy seeks to provide competitive returns by investing in a portfolio of global government and corporate bonds, including emerging markets and high yield securities. The investment team differentiates itself by employing both strategic and tactical currency views to take advantage of global market trends.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Park was Chief Investment Officer at Prince Asset Management in Hong Kong, responsible for tactical asset allocation investing in global equities, fixed income, commodities, foreign exchange and interest rate asset classes. He also had worked at Bank of Montreal, Fleet National Bank, Morgan Stanley and Bank of New England.
Mr. Park graduated from Tufts University with a B.A. in Economics; and later earned an Executive Business Diploma from University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
