KeyBank Appoints EVP Maria C. Coyne to Lead Business Banking Segment
Segment Includes Companies with Revenues Under $10MM, Key4Women, SBA Lending
CLEVELAND, May 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- KeyBank (NYSE: KEY) has named EVP Maria C. Coyne head of its national Business Banking segment, which provides financial services to companies with annual revenues up to $10 million, SBA loans, and services specifically for women-owned businesses, through Key4Women, across Key's 14-state footprint.

Coyne has most recently served as executive vice president of Key4Women and director of client experience for KeyBank National Association, as well as the chief administrative officer for Key Community Banking. In those roles, she was instrumental in helping Key achieve success as a 2009 BusinessWeek Customer Service champ and as a leader in ACSI banking satisfaction rankings for 2010. Prior to those positions, she was responsible for the national sales efforts and administration of Key's Small Business Administration (SBA) program and specialty segment initiatives.
She was also founder of Key4Women, the bank's women-owned business initiative, which has lent $3 billion to qualified women business owners since 2005, and committed in 2009 to lending an additional $3 billion by the year 2012.

Coyne joined KeyBank as a senior vice president in the strategic planning group in 2001. Previously, she was a small business strategist with the Greater Cleveland Growth Association and spent more than 10 years with Bank One, serving in various management capacities before becoming director of marketing.
She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance degree from the University of Notre Dame, and was awarded a certificate for completion of The Key Executive Experience at Weatherhead at Case Western Reserve University's Weatherhead School of Management.
She is a sought-after speaker on small business topics and has been featured on CNN, SmartMoney.com, and NPR and in national publications including The Wall Street Journal, Enterprising Women, American Banker and U.S. Banker.
Coyne is a member of the Advisory Council of the Center for Women's Business Research in Washington, D.C.. She is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Women's President's Organization, a member of the Advisory Board for the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and a member of the Forbes Executive Women (FEW) board, all based in New York, N.Y. In Cleveland, she is a member of the MacDonald Women's Health Leadership Council for the University Hospitals Health System and a member of the Finance Council for the Cleveland Catholic Diocese.
