Kell Group Refocusing on Revenue Cycle Consulting, Discontinuing Outsourced Medical Billing Services
PITTSBURGH, Feb. 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Kell Group, a Pittsburgh-based medical billing and consulting firm, announced it will no longer provide outsourced medical billing services and will refocus its business on revenue cycle management consulting. Kell Group founder Donna Kell will continue to serve selected clients in the revenue cycle consulting area.
As part of its shift in focus, the Kell Group has transitioned its outsourced medical billing clients to Healthcare Support Technologies, Inc., based in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. HST's primary focus is providing physicians with medical billing services and integrated technology solutions, with a proven track record of increasing revenue. Terms of those transactions have not been disclosed.
Separately, but in addition to the changes at her namesake firm, Donna Kell will assume a revenue cycle leadership position joining Partners in Nephrology & Endocrinology (PINE), a Pittsburgh-based private physician practice with 10 locations throughout Western Pennsylvania.
"Several opportunities emerged in a short span," said Donna Kell, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Kell Group. "So, it made sense to act on them in the most strategic manner possible while keeping the interests of our long-time employees and clients in mind."
According to Kell, three members of the Kell Group's medical billing outsourcing team will join her at the PINE organization. Kell Group employee, Betsy Millstine, is launching a new consultancy serving insurance credentialing clients.
Donna Kell will remain active in the profession as a speaker, author and as an industry leader in revenue cycle management topics as they relate to medical practices.
