Lineup Featuring Krewella, Logic and Radical Something to Hit 21 College Campuses
$10,000 on Karmaloop.com and VIP Experience Up for Grabs in Tour Contests
BOSTON, April 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- KARMALOOP and EMUZE announced today that the second annual Verge Campus Spring Tour Powered by Spotify will kick off on April 8th at the University of Central Florida. This year's Verge Campus Tour will hit 21 college campuses nationwide with electronic dance music act Krewella, def jam hip hop artist Logic, and rising Indie act Radical Something. Concert goers will have the opportunity to win $10,000 to shop on Karmaloop.com and a VIP meet and greet experience with the performers.
Unlike any other event on college campuses, the Verge Campus Tour connects students with top emerging artists, leading brands and non-profit initiatives in a full day campus-to-campus takeover. Combining interactive Day Villages and a series of music acts at the Night Concerts, the Verge Campus Tour creates an electric atmosphere for students and brands.
$10,000 Grand Prize and #KarmaloopOnTour VIP Experience
One Verge Tour attendee will win $10,000 to Shop on Karmaloop.com. Anyone can visit Karmaloop's tent in the Day Village and enter an email address for a shot at winning. Contestants will be automatically entered to win a lineup of prizes only available at their campus.
Karmaloop will also run the #KarmaloopOnTour VIP Experience, giving students a chance to win two VIP tickets to select shows and a meet-and-greet with Krewella and other performers. Gibran Borbon, Karmaloop brand ambassador and stylist, will be onsite scoping out the crowd, giving style tips and judging the entries. To enter, students Instagram or tag their best photo with #KarmaloopOnTour. In addition to VIP tickets, winners will receive a $100 certificate for Karmaloop.com and a pair of Reebok shoes.
Verge Campus Tour Continues
Karmaloop and EMUZE's Verge Campus Spring Tour 2013 rocked 27 college campuses in 30 days with a multi-genre billing that included Grammy nominated artists, Kendrick Lamar and Steve Aoki, and support from Bad Rabbits. Special appearances included J. Cole, Big Boi of Outkast, Macklemore, Young Jeezy, Kelly Rowland and Schoolboy Q, among others.
The goal for Verge Campus Tour is to engage students with opportunities from leading brands during the day while providing a great music festival at night. Last year, KARMALOOP and EMUZE made national headlines and reached over 500,000 students in just one month.
This year's Verge Campus Tour is powered by Spotify. Other sponsors include Reebok, Young & Reckless and Pencils of Promise.
