Jumore and AIFC Sign Agreement to Build World-Class Financial Center

BEIJING, Nov. 5, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Mr. Lu Hongxiang, Chairman of Jumore E-commerce Co., Ltd, met today with Mr. Kairat Kelimbetov, Governor of the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) of Kazakhstan. A strategic cooperation agreement is signed by both parties to jointly build the world-class financial center.

In 2015, Nursultan Nazarbaev, the President of Kazakhstan, signed a decree on the establishment of the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC). Kairat Kelimbetov, former Governor of the National (Central) Bank of Kazakhstan, former Chief Executive Officer of the Sovereign Wealth Fund Samruk-Kazyna, former Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, served as Governor of the AIFC since December 2015.

AIFC is responsible for building financial infrastructure of Kazakhstan and committed to making Astana a world-class financial center. Based on strategic cooperation, Jumore and AIFC will take full advantage of an e-commerce platform, set up a settlement center, and jointly promote cooperation in the fields of industry funds, international payments and supply chain finance. The platform of Jumore will definitely improve the cooperation of Sino-Kazakhstan production capacity, and promote the industrial upgrading of Kazakhstan.
