Johnson at Cornell University and Queen's School of Business Announce A Rebrand Of Former Cornell-Queen's Executive MBA Program
Program rebrand to include name change and strategic and curricular initiatives
ITHACA, N.Y., Jan. 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University and Queen's School of Business at Canada's Queen's University, announced the rebranding of their executive MBA dual degree program formerly called the Cornell-Queen's Executive MBA program. The new name, Executive MBA Americas, will better reflect the strategic move to jointly expand throughout the Americas while capitalizing on the regional strengths of both business schools.
Touted as one of the most unique EMBA program offerings in the world as a result of a "live and connected" learning experience through videoconferencing, not online, students are involved in interactive classroom sessions in major cities across the United States, in Canada and Mexico. As part of the rebrand, the program will expand its leadership and global initiatives for students.
"One of our newest curriculum features, in the area of leadership development, will incorporate coursework in critical thinking, experiential leadership opportunities and individualized coaching," said Elspeth Murray, Associate Dean for MBA Programs at Queen's School of Business. "These program enhancements will provide our students with a more holistic experience in their pursuit of an MBA from both Johnson at Cornell University and Queen's School of Business."
Other initiatives include themed global business projects in which students will work in teams to solve a variety of real world business challenges at prestigious global companies.
"We want our students to experience the richness of the global business environment through international project work and interaction with business leaders around the world," said Associate Dean for Executive Education at Johnson, Elizabeth Mannix. "We continue to enjoy working in cooperation with our partner, Queen's School of Business, and we are both excited that the new branding allows for growth and a natural evolution of the program."
